As part of OnBrand, American Express’s internal creative agency, my team was tasked with reimagining the 2024 custom trophy for The American Express (TAE) tournament. Our goal was to break away from traditional golf silhouettes by introducing a modern, sculptural form inspired by the rugged topography of PGA West. We focused specifically on the "Alcatraz" 17th hole, translating its notorious difficulty into a refined, timeless award.

As Senior Designer, I supported my team with the initial concepting and in translating topographical data into the high-fidelity models used for the internal crystal etching. Beyond the physical award, I led the development of the marketing suite and promotional assets that debuted the trophy to the public.

The design set a new standard for tournament hardware, blending ornamental integrity with brand heritage. Its unique form was formally recognized with a U.S. Design Patent, and I was honored with an American Express Inventor Award for my contributions to its development.
